Terms of Service

These terms explain how clients, freelancers, payments, orders, delivery, and platform responsibilities work on HireML.

Last updated: May 22, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account, sending a message, placing an order, submitting work, or using HireML, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use HireML for a company or team, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that organization.

2. What HireML Provides

HireML is a marketplace that helps clients discover AI freelancers through profiles, benchmark challenge results, messaging, offers, orders, delivery files, and payment workflows.

  • Clients can search for freelancers, message them, receive offers, place orders, and approve completed delivery.
  • Freelancers can create profiles, complete benchmark challenges, send offers, deliver work, and request payouts.
  • HireML may use automated systems to rank results, review challenge submissions, detect abuse, and improve matching quality.

3. Accounts and Security

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account unless you report unauthorized access quickly.
  • HireML may require email verification, login codes, identity review, or other safeguards before enabling sensitive actions.
  • Accounts used for spam, payment abuse, impersonation, off-platform scams, or security attacks may be restricted or banned.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must describe project requirements, budget, timeline, and acceptance expectations clearly.
  • Clients must not request illegal work, stolen code, credential theft, spam systems, or work that violates another platform's rules.
  • Clients are responsible for reviewing delivered work and accepting, requesting revisions, or contacting support within a reasonable time.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle or another supported payment provider. HireML does not store full card details.

5. Freelancer Responsibilities

  • Freelancers must represent their skills honestly and submit original work or properly licensed work.
  • Freelancers must keep client data confidential and use it only for the project.
  • Freelancers must deliver within the agreed timeline or request an extension through the platform.
  • Freelancers must not move payments, offers, or delivery outside HireML to bypass protection systems.

6. Orders, Fees, and Payouts

When a client pays for an order, HireML may hold the payment workflow until delivery is reviewed and accepted. For MVP operations, freelancer earnings are calculated after a HireML platform fee and payment partner fee.

  • HireML platform fee: 10% of the order value.
  • Payment partner fee: the applicable processing fee shown or applied to the transaction.
  • Payouts may require identity verification and manual review before funds are released.
  • Withdrawal requests can be delayed, declined, or adjusted if there is fraud, a dispute, chargeback risk, or incorrect payout information.

7. Disputes and Cancellations

If a project has a delivery issue, the client and freelancer should first use HireML messages, revision requests, and support. Refunds and cancellations are handled under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless a written agreement says otherwise, the client receives rights to the final paid deliverables after full payment and acceptance. Freelancers keep rights to their reusable methods, templates, tools, learning, and pre-existing work.

9. Platform Limits

  • HireML does not guarantee that a client will hire a freelancer or that a freelancer will receive a certain number of projects.
  • Benchmark scores and AI evaluations are decision-support signals, not guarantees of future performance.
  • HireML may update, pause, or remove features as the MVP evolves.
