This policy explains what information HireML collects, why it is used, and how users can contact us about privacy questions.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account details such as name, email address, role, profile photo, location, skills, and authentication status.
  • Freelancer profile information, challenge submissions, code, benchmark scores, AI review summaries, project history, and payout details.
  • Client project information, messages, offers, orders, invoices, delivery approvals, and cancellation reasons.
  • Support messages, identity review submissions, uploaded files, and information needed to investigate fraud or disputes.
  • Technical data such as device, browser, IP-derived security signals, timestamps, presence status, and usage events.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create and secure accounts, send verification emails, login codes, password reset links, and support responses.
  • To match clients with freelancers, rank profiles, show challenge proof, and generate AI-assisted review signals.
  • To process orders, payments, invoices, delivery files, refunds, cancellations, withdrawals, and disputes.
  • To detect spam, external-link abuse, fraud, account takeover attempts, payment abuse, and policy violations.
  • To improve HireML features, reliability, search quality, and marketplace trust.

3. Service Providers

HireML uses trusted service providers to run the platform. These providers process data only as needed for their services.

  • Firebase for authentication, database, hosting, and storage-related platform services.
  • Paddle for payment checkout, tax/payment processing, receipts, and payment-related compliance.
  • Resend or email providers for transactional email such as verification, order, support, and notification emails.
  • AI providers such as DeepSeek for challenge evaluation, matching support, and AI-generated summaries when enabled.

4. Payments and Financial Data

HireML does not store full credit card numbers. Payment details are handled by Paddle or supported payment processors. HireML may store transaction IDs, order totals, invoice records, payout request details, and payment status so the marketplace can operate.

5. Public Profile and Marketplace Data

Freelancer names, profile photos, skills, benchmark scores, completed challenge proof, ratings, availability, and completed project signals may be visible to clients or public profile viewers. Private messages, client files, and sensitive identity documents are not public.

6. Data Security

  • We use authentication checks, access rules, server-side validation, verification flows, and human review for sensitive actions.
  • Uploaded identity files and payout details are used for verification and payout safety.
  • No internet service is perfectly secure, so users should keep passwords private and report suspicious activity quickly.

7. Data Retention

HireML keeps account, order, payment, invoice, dispute, and security records as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal or payment obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and improve marketplace trust.

  • You can update profile information from settings.
  • You can configure notification preferences where available.
